The Old Town of Prague

August 20, 2015

Walking around the city of Prague is never dull. Just to stare at colorful baroque buildings and Gothic churches on the way to old town is so inspiring. I suggest you wear really comfortable shoes to walk in, as most of the streets are made by original cobblestones.

By the time you reach to the Old Town Square, because of it’s dreaminess and beauty with full of old charms, you start to wonder if you came to the Disneyland or some sort of fairytale theme park. The one that stood out for me the most was the medieval Astronomical Clock. It seemed like a popular spot to take wedding photos. There were about three couples in wedding attire waiting for their turns.

I didn’t know this at the time but this Prague Astronomical Clock was first installed in 1410, making it the third-oldest astronomical clock in the world and the oldest one still working.  It is probably every couples’ wish to celebrate their time spent together from here on under this old astronomical clock.
